Latest Android Adoption Rate: Froyo No Longer In Charts, Nougat Catching Up

The latest Android distribution chart figures reveals that Froyo, which was released by Google in May 2010, is missing from the list. This is the first time that Froyo is not on the Android distribution chart, suggesting the operating system's demise. The data compiled by the Android distribution chart is based on handsets that visited the Google Play Store in the last seven days, ending Jan. 9. Froyo covered the versions Android 2.2 and Android 2.2.3 and is no longer in used, based on the shared data. In December 2016, the Froyo was still on the list but was running on a paltry 1 percent devices.
