Nicole Kidman says adoption movie 'Lion' is 'love letter' to her kids

The 49-year-old actress stars in Lion, in which she plays a mother who adopts her son from India after he's found on the streets of Calcutta at just five years old. Years later, her now grown-up son, Saroo (Dev Patel), sets out to find his lost family. "I can see now, for Lion, that it was important to me because I'm a mother with adopted children," Kidman tells Town & Country for their December/January issue. Kidman has two adopted children with her ex-husband, Tom Cruise -- 23-year-old Isabella and 21-year-old Connor. The Australian star also has two daughters, 8-year-old Sunday and 5-year-old Margaret, with husband Keith Urban. "This movie is a love letter to my children," Kidman says.
