This post is brought to you by the Acetaminophen Awareness Coalition’s Know Your Dose campaign. It was the middle of the night. I was holding a screaming child and feeling very helpless. I don’t think there is anything that makes me feel more out of control as a mom than when my kids are sick. Sobs, screams, uncomfortable wiggling, hot and sweaty. I just want to make it go away. At this moment there are options. Things that can be done to give comfort beyond a hug, but the last thing I want to do is make the situation worse. It can happen easily when accidentally exceeding the maximum daily dose of acetaminophen.
