Nearly 20 kids become official US citizens

Nearly 20 kids from around the world got the wish of a lifetime in Brooklyn on Friday — a piece of paper officially declaring them US citizens. “I didn’t ask for much for Christmas, but this is better than what I could have asked for,” said Yuhan Wu, 14, of China — and now Brooklyn. “I’m so excited to be here,” he beamed. Wu and 18 other kids became certified Americans at a ceremony at the Museum of Food and Drink in Williamsburg, one of the city museums that donate their space for the federal-run occasions.
