N.J. kids give advice to the next U.S. president

We asked New Jersey kids what advice would they give to our new president. Here's what they said. Please don't give us a lot of bills and help people feel better because always some people feel sad. Grace Abbatiello Grade 1 Delaware Township School The president should help the country by helping people and doing good things. Adriana Soto Grade 1 Delaware Township School Our new president should keep kids safe. Jameson Bower Grade 1 Delaware Township School I would give this advice to the new president. I would tell the new president to give houses to people who don't have them. Donald Trump says he will make America great again, like that's going to happen, because America is already great. I want the president to make everything a little cheaper, like plane tickets and hoverboards. If I ever become president, I will make everything fair for everybody. Those are the tips I would give to the presidential candidates. Malik Harouna Grade 4 Milford Public School If I were to give advice to the next U.S president it would be, be nice, listen to the people, don't let a massive ego take over their presidency. More importantly, they should try to be friendly and try to make world peace. Lastly, they should try to keep terrorist out of our country as well as get a deep background check on all people that look like or even come close to being a terrorist. Jake Corbett Grade 7 Readington Middle School The advice I would give to the new president is to make college less expensive. I know that I want to go to NYU (New York University) and study law. While in college I want to study abroad in Florence Italy, and Madrid Spain. With college prices down, everyone can peruse their dream. I would also advise the President to try their best in making world peace. Bianca Centamore Grade 7 Readington Middle School The advice that I would give the president is to make sure everyone has an education that wants an education and everyone gets a job that wants a job. Also try your hardest to make sure everything is equal and fair. Life is life unborn or not please don't kill unborn babies. Now go be a good president! Becca Bowser Grade 7 Readington Middle School I think the our country would be a better place if there was no pollution in the air so no one would die from too much waste being exposed to their body. Christa Bojczak Grade 7 Readington Middle School My advice to the new president is make good with Russia. Evan Pollack Grade 7 Readington Middle School If I was lucky enough to have a word with the new US president, whoever it maybe, I would tell them to create allies. If we create allies with other country's, when we are in need, we will have others to rely on. If we make everyone in the rest of the world hate us, when we are weak they will most likely try to make us perish. Kara Scotti Grade 7 Readington Middle School If I were to give advice to Mr. Trump it'd be about the wall. My advice would be to build a barbed-wire fence as it'd be cheaper, and more efficient. Alex Takacs Grade 7 Readington Middle School Some advice I have for the new president is to make better laws that ban dog fighting and have better gun control. Of course, I think the president should ban dog fighting. Dog fighters use puppies as bait to get the larger dogs to fight. It is terrible and disgusting. I feel so sad for the poor dogs. As well, please make laws for better gun control. Guns are dangerous, and someone could get shot. Lastly, this is why I think banning dog fighting should be a law and there should be better gun control. Sara Orlans Grade 5 Round Valley School Some advice I have for the new president is to please put cages around the roads to protect the animals and ban cigarettes. To be sure president he or she please get rid of cigarettes because they can kill people. Please put cages around the road but not too close because the cars can bump in the cage. Absolutely get rid of cigarettes. Cigarettes are the worst drug. Just please get rid of cigarettes. This is good advice for the new president. Willem Vos Grade 4 Round Valley School Some advice I have for the next president is, I think that we should ban cigarettes and guns from New Jersey. First, I think that we should ban guns because they are dangerous and because more and more shootings are happening in New York. Second, I think we should ban cigarettes because more and more people are getting cancer. This is the advice I would give to the next president. Domenico Forlini Grade 5 Round Valley School Some advice that I have for the new president, is he should ban cigarettes, smoking and tobacco and make better laws to protect animals. Tobacco is not healthy and can give you cancer. Cancer can spread throughout your body and kill you. There should be laws to protect animals. Dogs and cats should have food, water, clean air, beds and most of all, shelter. In conclusion, smoking should be banned and stores should not be able to sell cigarettes as well as there should be better laws to protect animals. Jesse Gaburo Grade 4 Round Valley School Some advice I have for the president is I would like for him to ban drugs and have better gun control. First, I think the president should ban drugs because they are bad for you. They can make you dizzy and go crazy. Drugs are also harmful to your body. I also think there should be better gun control because it is too easy to get a gun. There should be better id's. This might prevent bad people from getting their hands on them. In conclusion, please consider banning drugs and guns. William Whitesell Grade 5 Round Valley School Some advice I have for the new president is to make a shorter work and school week and ban cigarettes. Certainly, people should have a shorter work and school week. They should work from Monday to Thursday. This would give them more time with their families. Along with a shorter work week you should also ban cigarettes. They are harmful to people. They can give you cancer and that could cause you to die...
