Study: Two-thirds of kids drink 1 sugary drink daily

Buzz60 About two-thirds of kids, if you stop them on a given day, have had at least one soda, fruit juice or sports drink. That's an average of about 164 calories for boys and 121 calories a day for girls, said a survey released Thursday by the U.S. Center for Disease Control and Prevention. The study found children on a given day consume on average a little more than 7% of their daily calories from sugary drinks, the leading sources of added sugars — such as corn syrup — in American diets.
