Youth on Course is changing the way kids play golf

(Photo: Youth on Course) The game of golf is evolving. The science in the creation of new clubs and equipment and the technology on the course is unlike anything the sport has ever seen. On top of that, young talent has flooded PGA Tour leaderboards, ushering in a new generation of players and their fans. From young players under the age of 30 winning majors to the excitement that was the 2016 Ryder Cup, the game's popularity is growing fast. However, there’s still one fundamental problem that golf can’t seem to solve: the price to play. Golf has always been viewed as a luxury activity that most parents, especially their kids, just can’t afford. Until now. Youth on Course is changing the game, and the idea is simple — kids never pay more than $5 for a round of golf. With the financial barrier removed, more kids have access to the game. "(The program) drives competition and makes kids play more. It’s good for the game," said Youth on Course's Executive Director Adam Heieck.
